Kickball/Wiffleball Studyguide
1) Base Hit - To reach base safely without an error or out made.
2) Bases Loaded - A base runner occupies each base.
3) Clean the Bases - A hit ball that scores all runners on base.
4) Cut Off - A person who catches a thrown ball in order to relay it to it's desired base.
5) Diamond - The area and shape formed by the four bases.
6) Double Play - Two outs resulting from one hit or kicked ball.
7) Error - Defensive misplay.
8) Fair Territory - That area in between an imagery line leading from home plate to 1st and 3rd base.
9) Fly Ball - A hit or kicked ball which travels high into the air before touching the ground.
10) Force Out - An out occurring when the runners are forced to run and the defensive player with the ball steps on the base trying to be reached by a base runner.
11) Foul Ball - A ball hit outside of fair territory.
12) Grand Slam - A home run with the bases loaded.
13) Grounder - A hit or kicked ball which bounces or rolls along the ground.
14) Line Drive - A hit or kicked ball that travels in a straight line.
15) Out - The retirement of a batter/kicker, or base runner. Three outs per inning.
16) Over Throw - To throw above the baseperson or fielder's head.
17) Pop Up - A short, high fly ball in or near the infield.
18) RBI - A run batted/kicked in.
19) Tag - to touch a base runner with the ball. The base runner is out if he/she was not on a base.
20) Tag Up - A base runner must touch or retouch the base which he/she occupies before advancing to the next base on an fly which is caught in the air.
21) Triple Play - Three outs recorded on one hit or kicked ball.
22) Fair Ball - Any ball hit or kicked that is either touched or stops in fair territory.
